G20 Declaration urging to address Antimicrobial Resistance

The summit report from G20 meeting in Hamburg pledges to address Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). It says that the aim is to have implementation of the National Action Plans well under way by the end of 2018 to tackle the spread of AMR: “We will promote access to affordable and quality antimicrobials, vaccines and diagnostics, including through efforts to preserve existing therapeutic options. We highlight the importance of fostering R&D, in particular for priority pathogens as identified by the WHO and tuberculosis.”
