Orion Diagnostica and WADA collaborate on UniQ PIIINP RIA test for detection of human Growth Hormone (hGH)

For several years, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and other international experts in the human Growth Hormone (hGH) field, have been working hard to develop tests for the detection of doping with hGH, which is one of the most abused doping agents in sport today. One such test, the hGH biomarkers method, was first implemented during the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This year, a collaboration between Orion Diagnostica and WADA resulted in the UniQ® PIIINP RIA test being included in the hGH biomarkers method for hGH doping control that was used during the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We are proud of this collaboration and look forward to continuing this support to WADA and to the broader international anti-doping community; which, together, is focused on protecting the clean athlete.

WADA is the international agency in charge of promoting, coordinating and monitoring the fight against doping in sport.
